Bella Rosa was launched by Heather Rose Harton when she and her husband purchased the 6,000 square foot Richmond location of a regional formalwear retailer in late 2004, creating Central Virginia's largest locally-owned bridal salon and formalwear boutique (which they then relocated into a brand new 7,500-foot space in April, 2011.)

Heather's commitment to customer satisfaction in one of the most emotional purchases of a woman's life comes from the Hartons' tenure in sales and guest relations roles with The Walt Disney World Company. Disney's extreme emphasis and training in creating magical memories and going the extra mile for every guest created in Heather a lasting desire to do the same for Virginia's brides.

She steadfastly believes that with the best, most experienced staff in Central Virginia and the best designers in the industry--from which she hand-selects styles and fashions that perfectly fit the tastes of local women--Bella Rosa has all the ingredients for making magic of its own!

Christine | salon manager

Aside from the customer interaction, Christine's favorite part of her job is the annual buying trips to New York City where she gets to interact directly with our designers and help sort through a dizzyng array of new designs. And though she shows no fear soothing wedding-frazzled brides, she only took her first (and last) roller coaster ride at age 34! Her current favorite bridal gown is "Uma," a short and sassy Pronovias number.

Fariba | alterations manager

Architect, magician, engineer, miracle worker ... these are all job titles we could put on Fariba's business card without much exaggeration. She understands the construction of each and every gown in our salon and can make them all feel custom- designed for our brides, down the to last stitch, hem and bustle. She also manages the design and production of our custom accessory lines, making hers perhaps the busiest hands in the salon!

Cathy | bridal consultant

Along with Phyllis, Cathy has been with Bella Rosa since day one (and before) which means she's developed a fine ear for understanding our brides and their needs. If you happen to visit us on a Virginia Tech game day, Cathy will appreciate an update on the score!

Brittany | fashion & bridal consultant

Brittany is our "renaissance woman." equally comfortable in every fashion department, wooing moms, consulting with brides, dressing flowergirls, & measuring for tuxedos. She calls Bella Rosa's staff and customers "one big family" that she feels fortunate to spend time with. Her favorite bridal gown is "Maya" by Paloma Blanca.

Kelsey | bridal consultant

Kelsey worked with us throughout her college career, and wondered off for a little while to pursue other endeavors. But she couldn't stay away, and made her way back to us! And we are so happy that she did! Kelsey has a special connection with brides because she herself is a newly wed. Her favorite dress is "nina" by marisa, the dress she got married in!

Maria | fashion consultant

Maria is a proud VCU Ram studying fashion merchandising and comes to us highly-recommended by our marketing director (who happens to be her big sister). Maria says her favorite part about working at Bella Rosa is that she gets to help make brides's special day perfect. Her favorite dress is "Tatiana" by Pronovias.

Jessie | operations coordinator

There's one person in the salon who touches every single garment, both coming and going, making Jessie the crucial hub in a fast-spinning bridal wheel. She's in charge of double- checking the paperwork, quality control of arriving merchandise, and alerting our customers that their special orders have arrrived. All that and she runs our growing on-line business, helping women around the world become "Bella Rosa Brides!"

Phyllis | sr. bridal consultant

After fifteen years of helping brides find their perfect bridal gown, Phyllis still loves playing fairy godmother to our brides, making their dreams come true. She has been happily married to the man she adores for 22 years and has a passion for all things Audrey Hepburn. Her favorite gown in the salon? Paloma Blanca's "Esme."

Christina | marketing director & menswear coordinator

As a recent Fashion & Marketing graduate from VCU, Christina is putting her degree to work helping our customers find the perfect mens formalwear fashions for their big events, as well as executing our marketing plans to keep everyone talking about Bella Rosa! Camberly | bridal consultant

A unique combination of dancing queen and beach bum, Camberly's artistic perspective has proven extremely useful in helping brides realize their vision for themselves. She takes great pleasure in forming a close relationship with her brides during and after their Bella Rosa experience & though she still misses dancing, she loves the ruffles of Paloma Blanca's "Maya" and the "super Southern" charm of Wtoo's "Cameron."
